Thank you so much for you interest in the Operation Ten City: Detroit Pitch Competition. THE EVENT HAS REACHED IT'S CAPACITY. WE ARE FULL AND CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT REGISTRATIONS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT ANDY PHAM AT APHAM@JBS.EDU. You may attend the live, in-person competition on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. 


The Operation Ten City Campaign will be in Detroit on August 6–13, 2022. For more information regarding all of the events, visit www.operationtencity.com. 

The Pitch Competition is scheduled for Friday, August 12, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

Submission deadline is SATURDAY, AUGUST 6, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. 


The Pitch Competition at Operation Ten City: Detroit provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses, products, and services that have a measurable kingdom impact, have the potential for commercialization and scalability, and fill a need that solves real problems in the marketplace. Cash prizes will be awarded to the three highest-rated finalists in the competition. The first prize is $10,000!

There are two rounds—the initial submission (completed electronically) and the final round (in-person). 

After the first round of judging ends, up to 15 finalists will be identified by the close of business on Monday, August 8, 2022. Finalists will be notified via email that they have been selected to pitch live, in-person on Friday, August 12, 2022. 
  • The 15 Finalists are required to pitch their business in person on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
  • The 15 Finalists will also be required to attend the walk-through the day before the pitch on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
The Pitch Competition will be held onsite at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.

PITCH COMPETITION SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

After you have completed registration for the Pitch Competition, please use the following link to access the competition platform to submit your entry: 

https://www.judgify.me/OTCPITCHDETROIT.

Once all of your items have been submitted, our team of judges will have access to view your pitch.

Please submit the following via Judgify:
1. One 30-Second Intro Video
2. One 3-Minute PITCH video
3. One high-resolution headshot
4. A 10-Slide Pitch Deck (PowerPoint Presentation)

Finalists will have three minutes to give their pitch.

The Pitch Deck will include the following slides in this order:
  1. Title: Business name, logo, and tagline
  2. Problem: What unique problem are you solving for your customers?
  3. Solution/Key value proposition: How are you providing a real solution to your customer?
  4. Product or Service Description: Provide an overview of your product, including the Kingdom Impact (How you do business while doing good).
  5. Customer acquisition strategy: Who is your target market, and what is your go-to-market strategy (how do you plan to secure customers)?
  6. Market size: How big is your addressable customer market?
  7. Competition: How are you different from other companies serving your customer's needs?
  8. Business model: Explain how your business makes money?
  9. Timeline to profitability and how you will scale the business (Include how much you need to execute your plan and how you will use the prize money if you are a winner.)
  10. The founding team and advisors

Pricing

There is no-cost to participate as a contestant or be an attendee to view the live, in-person pitches, but registration is required.
